Introducing DIY Plus - new cameras, wireless mics!
A new option, with our newest cameras and wireless microphones.
Most couples who film their wedding with us book our standard package. It's the kit behind almost every film on this site, hundreds of weddings a year, and it's what we'd happily recommend to anyone. Nothing about it is changing.
Alongside it, we're adding a second option for couples who'd like the newest gear we can send. It's called PLUS.
Here's what's in it.
A large rotating screen
The PLUS cameras have a big, bright screen that tilts, so whoever is holding one can see exactly what they're filming and adjust as they go.

That's genuinely useful at a wedding, where the camera gets passed around all day and lands in the hands of people who've never used one before. Your uncle, your bridesmaid, the friend who volunteered at the bar. A large screen they can angle towards themselves makes the camera obvious to pick up and easy to aim, whatever position they're holding it in.
It's the kind of thing that sounds minor written down and makes an immediate difference in practice.
A larger sensor, built for low light
The PLUS cameras have a considerably larger sensor, which means they're designed to gather as much light as possible.
That's worth having if a lot of your day happens after dark. Speeches once the light has gone amber, the first dance, sparklers at eleven o'clock, a candlelit barn in November. If your reception is the part of the day you most want on film, PLUS is built for exactly that.
Wireless microphones
PLUS comes with wireless microphones that clip discreetly to whoever is speaking - your officiant during the ceremony, then whoever has the floor for the speeches.
Because the microphone is on the person rather than in the room, you get their voice up close. Your vows in your own voices. The quiet line at the end of your dad's speech that only half the room caught.

Everything else is the same
The same editors work on your film, the same way, to the same length, in the same timeframe.
PLUS is about the kit that arrives at your door. The film that comes back is made by the same people who make all of them, and we're just as proud of those either way.
Which one should you book?
Honestly, most couples should book our standard package. It's proven, it's what nearly everyone chooses, and the films speak for themselves — have a look through them and see what you think.
PLUS is worth considering if you'd particularly like the newest cameras we offer, if a big part of your day happens in the evening, or if the spoken moments matter to you as much as the pictures.
If you're torn, ask us. We'll tell you what we'd book for a day like yours.
Pricing and availability
PLUS starts at £650 for two cameras, £700 for three, and £750 for four.
We hold a small number of PLUS kits and each one is out for around ten days per wedding, so we can only take a handful of PLUS bookings a week. Popular Saturdays go early - if you have a date in mind, it's worth booking sooner rather than later.
